Private universities usually charge higher tuition fees, but do not exceed 20,000 euros per year. Some commercial programs can cost more than $ 25,000 per academic year. Other academic areas may cost more, such as MBAs and international management courses.

Study Programs

For study programs, planning students must have a valid school leaving certificate and must meet the requirements to enrol in universities in their country. You may need to pass an entrance exam or offer additional courses, depending on the program you are attending.

For non-EU students, you will need the following:

  • Recognized school certificate
  • You must pass the EBAU entrance exam.
  • For Master’s students, you will need a valid or relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Other requirements are specific to your field of study.
  • Candidates for doctoral studies will need certificates, diplomas or titles obtained during previous studies. Degrees corresponding to a minimum score of 300 ECTS credits can also be considered here.

Language Requirements

Here, the language requirements will depend on that language or medium of instruction. For students whose language of instruction is Spanish. You will need proof of knowledge of the Spanish language. International students must take the DELE tests.


On the other hand, students whose language of instruction is English will have to take the TOEFL or IELTS exams.

Can you Work in Spain with a Student Visa?

If you ask ‘Can you study while working in Spain?’ The answer is yes. Student visas in Spain are flexible and you can work while studying. You can apply for a work permit from the local authorities for up to 20 hours per week, but in Spain, you can only work and study until your student visa expires.
